I am a white middle class Christian man who used to be a conservative, but for many years has been a believer in the cause of progressive ideas.

For decades I have held a day job as an investment and tax advisor.   From my work in helping ordinary people manager their money and pay their taxes, I have had an insider's view of the unfairness and inequality of our nation's laws.   I intend to use this privileged position on investments and taxation to fight for progressive policies.   I also intend to demonstrate why progressive policies are better than conservative ones.

In this blog I hope to show in clear and simple ways why ordinary people suffer and are disadvantaged due to outdated, stupid or even exploitive economic and social policies.   Moreover, as I believe that progressives are really interested in good laws I will endeavor to do more than criticize conservative ideas - like all good progressives I will offer what I believe are superior ideas and policies.
